Peptic ulcer



Is a sore in the lining of the stomach or duodenum, which is the beginning of the small intestine. One cause of peptic ulcer is a bacterial infection (Helicobacter pylori), but some ulcers are caused by prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) and ibuprofen, can also be caused by a exhibition of stress. In rare cases, cancerous tumors of the stomach or pancreas can cause ulcers. Peptic ulcers are not caused by spicy foods or stress, even if these factors influence their occurrence. (ULCERA PEPTICA)
