Systemic Lupus Eritmatoso

Is a chronic autoimmune disease. In it, the immune system attacks the body's cells and tissues, causing inflammation and damage due to the binding of autoantibodies to the cells of the body, and deposit of antigen-antibody complexes. Lupus can affect any part of the body, although the most common sites are the heart, joints, skin, lungs, blood vessels, liver, kidneys and nervous system. The course of the disease is unpredictable, with periods of remission alternating with crisis. (LUPUS ERITEMANTOSO SISTEMICO)
